The Walking dead has finished its run for season 10 on the cable network AMC. The season finale delivered what the fans have been asking for all along, a backstory on the show’s most vile character Negan played by Jefferey Dean Morgan. The walking dead will return for its eleventh and final season on August 22, 2021.
Let us take an in-depth look at the final two episodes of season 10.
Episode 21: This episode covers almost nothing as the entire episode focuses on Carol who struggles with making a vegetable soup but there is a mouse that keeps bothering her all day long.
Episode 22: This episode serves as a proper finale for season 10 as it brings out the origin story of Jefferey Dean Morgan’s character Negan. Negan was an ordinary husband to his wife Lucille who secretly was cheating on her but turned his loyalty and faith to his wife after the zombie outbreak. Negan also discovers that his wife is diagnosed with a form of cancer and they had a limited supply of her medicines. Those medicines eventually run out some months later and Negan is faced with a tough decision that is to go out on the search for the medicines for his wife.
Negan discovers a stationed truck of doctors who were on the run from the apocalypse where he with permission obtains the necessary medicines for his wife. On his way back home Negan is captured by some thugs who beat him almost to death in order to get the information about the trucks where he got the medicines from.
This major delay in bringing the medicine to his wife leads to his wife’s death and resurrection as a zombie which rips Negan’s heart out and breaks it into two. The unexpected loss of Negan’s wife fuels the rage in him compelling him to go on a killing spree leading to the brutal murder of the men who captured him that caused the delay.
