One of the major pop culture icons surely includes the karate kid series. The karate kid series became an instant hit and is considered one of the best film franchises of the 80s decade. The film series has introduced many characters but one character tops the list of the most friendly characters ever. The karate kid brought the legend of Mr. Miyagi whose discipline and friendship transcends all boundaries.
The series ran for three installments before being canceled and eventually being picked up back again for a reboot starring Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith. Since then no plans around or about the series were announced. But a few years later Youtube Premium announced that a television show or so-called web series was in development that would focus around the Cobra Kai Dojo who first made an appearance in the Karate Kid series.
The series will depict the events that led to the establishment and the upbringing of The Cobra Kai Dojo that played a major role in the Karate Kid series by serving as a center stage for martial arts tournaments.
The first season received positive reviews and so did the second season but the only thing that worried the creators of the show was the audience it was failing to gather. But the solution came in the form of network shift as the show changed the track and started airing its episodes for season three on Netflix.
The streaming giant distributed the show all across the globe with the audience calling it a perfect dish that serves both nostalgia and entertainment. The streaming mammoth just came in with a word announcing that season 4 of the critically acclaimed show has begun filming.
Hyped-up fans all across the world first got the news about the show’s renewal for a fourth season shortly after the release of the third one. And now with filming being under production, it could be said that the next season would be ready later this year for the audience to cherish upon.
