The second entry or installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s phase four-category comes in the form of Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The first entry of phase four titled Wandavision ended its run on March 5, 2021, and since then the audience has been waiting eagerly to dip their toes into the next journey that delivered its very first episode on March 19, 2021.
The show stars Marvel Cinematic Universe alums, Anthony Mackie, as Falcon, and Sebastian Stan as The Winter Soldier. The recurring cast members include Sharon Carter played by Emily Van Camp, War Machine played by Don Cheadle, and Helmut Zemo portrayed by Daniel Bruhl.
Let us take a look at the main highlights of the very first episode:
Sam Wilson aka Falcon is living in peace but trying hard to forget his long-gone friend Captain America as he keeps a souvenir of his with him which was given by Captain himself in order to pass the baton. Sam is called by a military officer who provides him some intel about the ongoing attack on a city in Tunisia which he should dissolve.
Sam invades the ongoing strike between the city and the terrorist organization that was behind it leading him to flee and dodge the attack through canyons and cliffs. The terrorist organization flees after seeking failure. Sam later heads to a museum to submit and give up the shield to the government thinking that it should be placed right here in the museum honoring the true owner of it. Sam later finds out that the government has announced his new Captain America offering him the shield.
On the other hand, Bucky aka The Winter Soldier is living his life on guilts and trauma as he just cannot move on by the horrors he has created in the past under the influence of the HYDRA. Bucky seeks therapy in order to gain peace and starts dating to forget the past but the past keeps on finding him no matter what.
