Marvel Cinematic Universe is here with its second installment for phase four-category with the addition of Falcon and The Winter Soldier to its ever-expanding and ever-growing library of programs and films. Falcon and The Winter Soldier serves as the second series in the phase four category with the very first being WandaVision both the series have received mostly positive reviews and positive reception on Disney+.
WandaVision carried and maintained a speculative and suspicious tone as a question always kept lurking about what is going on in that town and how are they doing to stop all that. Falcon and The Winter Soldier is having trouble or should we say had some trouble maintaining the exact same theme and tense environment as the predecessor did. The first two episodes of the show were somehow within the boundaries of mediocre but that boredom was broken by episodes 3 and 4 where we witnessed pure marvel energy as it flowed through high octane action sequences and fast-paced storylines.
The story however is quite mainstream just as we have witnessed over the course of 23 marvel cinematic universe films wherein the complications surrounding super-soldier serum lets nobody sleep. The super-soldier serum was first created in world war 2 whose first test subject was our beloved Captain America. The storyline focused on Bucky Barnes being captured by Hydra and made him another test subject for Hydra for super-soldier serum. Bucky got turned into the winter soldier who later on wreaked havoc by killing off Tony Stark’s parents and bringing down the entire cavalry in Captain America 2 The Winter Soldier and Captain America Civil War.
At the ending of Captain America Civil War, we saw all the dormant Super Soldiers being put to sleep permanently by Helmut Zemo who were the remaining test subjects of Hydra who only had a limited supply of Super soldier serum before running out of it. However in the show Falcon and The Winter Soldier it is depicted that there was always one more super soldier alive and well hiding in the shadows by the name Isaiah who served as the golden goose for the people who wanted to revive super-soldier serum by studying hid blood.
A man named Power Broker or rather a man with an alias Power Broker did study Isaiah’s blood and carved out essential elements to revive super-soldier serum. They made twenty supplies with the help of a scientist named Wilfred Nagel who carried out this entire operation before being robbed by Karli Morgenthau. Karli took all of the supplies and made seven super soldiers including herself.
The fourth episode showed Zemo crushing all the remaining samples of the super-soldier serum minimalizing all the facade and fuss that comes with them. John Walker intervenes just in time to save one sample who intakes it some moments later to defeat the other super-soldiers and Dora Milaje. John Walker gets heavily enraged when his comrade and partner Lemar Hoskins is killed in action by Karli who then goes on a killing spree that results in the elimination of one super soldier and ally of Karli.
The question that remains is who could be the power broker the man behind all this chaos who ordered the augmentation of Isaiah’s blood. Some theories say that it could be Sharon Carter as she seems suspicious and some things seem off about her but there is no reason that she would do such a preposterous thing. Other theories point at the regular pain in the ass General Ross who first created mass havoc by creating Abomination and later turned heroes into foes with the sokovian accords in Captain America Civil War.
