The GI Joe film series has always left the audience exhilarated with its high octane action sequences and immersive usage of the high-quality arsenal. The Hasbro toy line was first converted into a film decade ago with the title GI Joe Rise of The Cobra and almost a couple of years later the Hasbro guys came up with a sequel with the name GI Joe Retaliation starring Dwayne Johnson.
Both of the films received positive reviews with the audience admiring the action sequences, storyline, and weapons. A few years later after being in limbo the franchise announced that they would be returning back for a part three along with a spinoff centered around the character Snake Eyes. Snake Eyes spinoff wrapped filming last year and was scheduled to hit the theatres last fall but had to be delayed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
However, Snake Eyes starring Henry Golding is slated to be released this year and the next GI Joe film in the franchise is currently in the production phase with being helmed by DJ Caruso. Apart from that two new films have recently been announced by Hasbro one will be a follow-up sequel to Snake Eyes and the other one would be centered around the character of Lady Jaye who was first introduced in GI Joe Retaliation.
In other film news, the filmmaking genius Steven Soderberg has just announced that he is currently working on a new thriller film titled KIMI starring Zoe Kravitz. The film would be released simultaneously on HBO Max and in the theatres as well.
No Sudden Move releases on Netflix later this year and Snake Eyes hits theatres on October 22, 2021
