The John Wick film series is expanding the reach of its fictional world of assassins and mercenaries by adding new dark materials that would fit in the franchise. The brutal weapons and combat techniques wielded and carried out throughout the film by their characters are what make the franchise gritty and intense. The latest word on the street is that acclaimed Chinese actor Donnie Yen has joined the cast with more to follow.
2014 brought out a completely different film series and an antihero whose motive is good but the procedure isn’t, John Wick goes on a hunt to eliminate the person responsible for the destruction of his late wife’s last memento. 2017 witnessed the Babayaga filled with rage and hatred against anyone who has wronged him in the past. 2019 saw the return of the man who is being hunted by his own people as he broke the code. Ex-communicado referenced the elimination of John Wick from which he narrowly escapes.
The dark world of assassins and the systems that operate it will expand its reach as both John Wick 4 and 5 are moving forward along with a female character-led film titled Ballerina. The series will be spreading its roots to television as well where the story will chronicle the establishment of mercenary hotel chains all across the world. The Continental will also feature its own mode of currency and professional code of conduct rules.
