After working in the entertainment industry for over two years now as a professional stuntman and stunt co-ordinator Chal Stahelski finally decided to direct a feature film of his own that would showcase heavy artillery and high octane action. John Wick became the very first film that he would add under his resume as a director.
The high-profile assassination film that grew up to become a widely popular franchise in the pop culture world has seen nothing but insane success, incredible revenue, and positive reception. John Wick was followed by 2 sequels with 2 more in the early stages of development.
Apart from sequels, John Wick universe is expanding its reach by introducing a television show titled “The Continental” that would focus on the infamous hotel chain that bounds the underworld group of professional mercenaries. A film based on a female character is also in the early stages of development with the working title “Ballerina“.
Chad Stahelski just dropped a word announcing that he would be shifting focus from John Wick sequels to a brand new film titled “Classified” in order to maximize his understanding of the approach towards action films.
“Classified” will follow a modern-day revelation of confidential documents that would go back all the way to world wars and eventually end up opening old wounds that would result in mass chaos among certain individuals. The audience will surely get to witness what they have been witnessing in John Wick films heavy action filled with bloodshed and gore, intense violence in a dark setting, brutal hand-to-hand combat within closed spaces tied up by galvanizing soundtrack.
The cast and the crew members of the film are currently being kept under “Classified” documents but surely they would find their way onto the top. Filming dates are yet to be finalized by Chad which could mean that the audience would have to wait for the film to hit theatres.
