The Arrowverse ended its skipper’s storyline last year with the Arrow ending its run of 8 seasons on the CW but there were many stories still left to be told through the point of view of many superhero characters. The Flash had to cut its season 6 short because of the coronavirus concerns but is now back with season 7 with the remaining episodes of season 6 serving as the beginner episodes of season 7.
Last year the DC heads of the Arrowverse announced that the remaining shows after the cancellation of Arrow will continue to air for some more seasons. Supergirl however received harsh news stating that the upcoming season 6 will be the show’s last. The Flash will continue till 2022 with season 8 being its last and episodes wrapping up before the arrival of DCEU’s The Flash film.
Legends of Tomorrow is expected to drop later in summer with its episodes for season 7. The show is also renewed for the 8th season. The uncertainty about the future of the show still remains a mystery whether there will be more seasons or not.
However Batwoman and Black Lightning are currently airing their episodes for their latest seasons and apart from that, they are also renewed for the next seasons. Superman and Lois on the other hand just aired their 2 hour-long series premiere generating heavy praise for the story. The show is currently on a hiatus and finalizing a date to start rolling out the episodes in line every week.
Supergirl is scheduled to release its episodes for the 6th and final season from March 30 onwards. This will mark the Arrowverse’s full state inactive phase with all the episodes rolling out of all the shows every week.
Apart from this other DC shows like Titans, Doom Patrol and Stargirl are currently under production for their new season. James Gunn is busy filming the Peacemaker series starring John Cena.
