The Little Things is a murder mystery film directed by John Lee Hancock starring academy award winners Jared Leto, Denzel Washington, and Rami Malek who cross each other’s path which leads them to a gritty, cringy road filled with hatred, anger. The frustration of not being able to catch the killer legally.
The tone of the film is quite slow which might get the audience plunged into boredom but some things have a meaning and a purpose behind them and those things are what make this movie watch worthy.
What is the plot of the film?
Washington’s character is a subdivision cop who has left the detective work long ago, now he has to come back and join hands with the new captain Jimmy played by Rami Malek in order to catch a serial killer who is on the loose after murdering multiple women.
Albert Sparma played by Jared Leto is a highly skilled killer who knows to cover his tracks and wipe away all the evidence in order to flee suspicion.
What is the cast of the film?
The film stars Hollywood a-listers like Denzel Washington, Jared Leto, and Rami Malek. The best part about these three actors is that they have never worked with each other in the past and now for the first time in history all three of the academy award winners are crossing each other’s paths simultaneously.
What does the ending mean?
At the ending of the film, Rami Malek’s character accidentally hits Jared Leto’s character after being triggered by him furiously. Guilty of his actions Denzel Washington helps cover Rami Malek’s Character’s crime by burying Jared Leto’s character Albert Sparma. Rami Malek’s character Jimmy is still haunted weeks later by Albert’s burial.
Denzel Washington’s character helps Jimmy because he once also killed a woman accidentally and someone helped him cover it.
The title of the film “The Little Things” says it all, there are little things that get us killed and there are little things that get us caught.
