If Warner Bros. hadn’t interrupted the vision of Zack Snyder and had allowed him to chart the course and run the show of the DCEU we would have witnessed the original justice league back then in 2017. But that was far from being possible as the studio stepped into the vision and created a multi installment like franchise similar to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
They hired Joss Whedon to cut and reshape the newly formed Justice League that resulted in a CGI bomb on Superman and Steppenwolf. The 2017 Justice League earned mixed reviews and not so desired profit. But the prayers of all the DC fans were answered in 2020 as Warner Bros. announced that they will be providing us the original Justice League directed by Zack Snyder on March 18, 2021.
The day just passed by and the entire world witnessed a film that they should have stumbled upon in 2017. Let us take a look at the film’s plot.
In order to bring back the god of destruction, Darkseid must be recalled by the alignment of the three mother boxes. He sends his lieutenant Steppenwolf for the conquest of all the three mother boxes who were hidden and in the possession of Amazonians, Altantineans, and Men after they defeated Darkseid million years ago by which he seeks redemption upon.
Steppenwolf first invades Themiscyra the land of Wonder Women and manages to get his hands upon the first one. Diana warns Bruce that a war is coming as the first box is gone, Steppenwolf takes his conquest to Atlantis where he obtains the second one as well this compels Arthur to join the league after refusing the proposal of Bruce to join the league some days ago. Victor stone comes on his own as he was himself a creation of the mother box and meanwhile as all of this was happening Bruce recruited Barry Allen.
The team decides to resurrect Clark as he is the only one powerful enough to stop Darkseid. Steppenwolf manages to get his hands on the third box after the resurrection of Superman. The team all together stops the fusion of the boxes and disallows the maniac to invade Earth.
All of the plots were depicted and built perfectly and precisely in the film that the 2017 film couldn’t.
